It is a bisphosphonate medicine that slows bone loss while increasing bone mineral density, which not only help prevent bone fractures but also help maintain strong bones. This happens due to decrease in the calcium level from the body. Its better to take as per the prescribed level and if advised take this tab with milk. Do not take extra tab if the dose is missed instead skip that and go for the next one.
